Hetty the Hen Easter Event

We are egg-static to announce Hetty the Hen and her friends are joining us on Friday 7th April 2023 for our Easter egg-stravaganza here at Beetham Nurseries.
This Easter we’re hosting a free, fun-packed, family one day event here at Beetham Nurseries. We have a cracking line-up of activities for the whole family to get involved with including a Hetty the Hen treasure hunt around The Garden Centre and Growing Nursery, live readings of Hetty the Hen Who Couldn't Lay from author Sarah Igo, live illustrations from artist Rebecca Williamson as well as an Easter Colouring Competition plus much more.
Hetty the Hen Treasure Hunt
Cluck all around The Garden Centre and The Growing Nursery in search of Hetty the Hen and her Friends to complete your search card. Simply head to The Information Desk for your search card, look all around for each character and return your complete card back to The Information Desk to receive a special prize! Don’t forget to add your details to the back of the card to be in with a chance of winning a £25 Beetham Nurseries voucher. (Join in across the duration of the Easter Holidays Saturday 1st April 2023 - Sunday 16th April 2023)
Hetty the Hen Colouring Competition
We’re looking for the next Picasso; join us in The Garden Cafe across the Easter Holidays (Saturday 1st April 2023 - Sunday 16th April 2023) and complete the Hetty the Hen colouring competition sheet, simply create your masterpiece and hand it in to a member of staff. Each masterpiece will be displayed on The Information Desk during Easter. Add your details to the reverse as you may be our winner!
Live Readings by Author Sarah Igo - Fridy 7th April 2023
Come along to our heated marquee and listen to Sarah Igo bring Hetty the Hen to life with a live reading of her debut book Hetty the Hen Who Couldn’t Lay 10am or 2pm on Friday 7th April 2023. Artist Rebecca Williamson, who illustrated the book will also be in the marquee demonstrating some live illustrations. Additionally, a station will also be set up in the marquee for little ones to create their own Hetty the Hen character before or after the reading.
Tickets: One ticket per child which includes a signed copy of the book (Adults do NOT need a ticket)
