Grow Your Own

Grow Your Own

If you're not growing your own produce this year then ask yourself why not! It's really easy to get started and can be so rewarding; not only does it always tastes better than buying it from the supermarket, but you also get that, 'I grew that myself', satisfaction! If you haven't already, then now is the perfect time of year to get started.

Fruits, vegetables, herbs and so much more can all be grown at home with fairly little effort. Let us help you to grow your tastiest fruit and vegetables ever!

Vegetable seeds can be sown into prepared seed beds and runner beans can be grown in modules so that they're ready to be planted out in late May.

As the weather's looking fine, we recommend sowing the seeds of beetroot, cabbage, brussel sprouts, mizuna, pak choi, cauliflower, spinach, radish, parsnips, turnips, onions, lettuce, salad leaves, mange tout and broad beans. Herbs such as parsley, coriander and basil can also now be sown in pots.

Early potatoes, onion sets and shallots can now be planted outside - watch out for frost reports though and cover new shoots if necessary.
