Stock Controller
Beetham Nurseries is an independent, family-owned garden centre based in south Cumbria. A business of over 80 team members, plants are our passion and we are proud to offer the highest quality indoor & outdoor plants, homeware, delicious food & drink, and event experiences to our large customer base.
Beetham Nurseries is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to work within our established team.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory management: Monitor and maintain accurate stock and pricing. Conducting regular audits. Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate product pricing and barcode labels to ensure correct identification and smooth point-of-sale operations.
- Data entry and record keeping: Accurately enter inventory data into the system, maintain detailed records of stock movements, and update inventory management software.
- Coordination: Communicating and collaborating with the wider team to ensure smooth operations and to explore and resolve any data issues.
- Reporting & business improvement: Assisting with internal and external audits. Maintaining purchase and pricing reports to improve business performance.
- Online order management: Assisting with the processing and dispatch of e-commerce orders.
About You
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Strong experience in data management, be an effective communicator, and have very good problem-solving skills
- Ability to review and input data with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with team members and communicate stock-related information clearly
- Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
Experience
Previous experience is essential. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
