Charity Partners 2023
This year, Beetham Nurseries is partnering with two charities to assist in fundraising and awareness, and help to make a difference in the community. Throughout 2023, you'll see both charities at our events, you'll see us hosting specific events for the charities as well as working closely to help assisting the communities they already work with, and of course, with the help of our fantastic customers, raise vital funds to help them continue long into the future.
Carer Support South Lakes
Carer Support South Lakes is an independent, local charity and network partner of Carers Trust. Providing a range of services to support and enhance the lives of unpaid carers of all ages throughout South Lakeland, Carer Support South Lakes identifies the needs of unpaid Carers of any age and provides quality services, support and advocacy to promote their health and wellbeing. Their ultimate goal is to improve the lives of carers of all ages.
The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is a mental health peer support charity, based in Kendal and serving the South Lakeland area of Cumbria, UK. Whether you have a diagnosed mental health condition, or are simply hoping to boost your emotional wellbeing, The Lighthouse provides services and activities to help. Their services are facilitated by a team of wonderful peer support volunteers, who go above and beyond for their clients. Many of these volunteers have lived experience of mental health issues, or have previously worked in a care capacity. Some of our volunteers started out as clients, and now volunteer their time to help others.
Working Together
Throughout 2023, the team here at Beetham Nurseries pledge to work closely with each charity and fundraise as much as possible throughout the year, as well as help to raise awareness of these fantastic charities across our existing community of brilliant customers and beyond.
