Learn how to propagate your own plants from a variety of techniques including cuttings, division & layering. The workshop, with renowned horticulturalist Marguerite Hughes, will also explain & illustrate which are the best plants to collect seed from with lots of hints & tips on when to collect, storing them & best time & methods of sowing specific seeds. There will be practical demonstrations by Marguerite during the session on the various propagation techniques covered.
The last 30 minutes of the session will allow for summary, round up & Q&A.
All you need to bring with you on the day is a notebook & pen. You will be given handouts relevant to the workshop to take home. There will be lots of opportunities during the day to handle materials referred to during the sessions. The workshop is very interactive and, at any point during the day, you can ask questions relating to your own gardens.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you might want to bring a cushion for added comfort.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a ticket which acts as a 10% voucher whilst you’re here with us on the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some shopping time before or after your workshop!
