Looking for a fun and educational way to spend the May half-term with your family? Beetham Nurseries invites you to join their National Garden Wildlife Week, running from Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June 2025. This free event offers a week filled with activities that celebrate the wonders of garden wildlife.


Event Highlights

Wildflowers in The Growing Nursery
Discover the newly launched wildflower range in The Growing Nursery. These pollinator-friendly plants are perfect for attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects to your garden.

Meet the Bees – Friday 30th May at 11am
Join Cross Apiary in the marquee for an engaging session about the fascinating world of bees. Get up close with these essential pollinators and indulge in a honey tasting experience that showcases the variety of flavours honey can offer.

Family Art Morning - Thursday 29th May at 10am
Bob Sutcliffe OBE will be running an art workshop with a special wildlife theme. Think bees, butterflies, hedgehogs, and more! This is a paid workshop. More information, including how to book, can be found on the Family Art Morning event listing.

Tasty Treats in The Garden Cafe
Throughout the week, the Garden Cafe will feature special honey-themed delights, including date and honey scones. Children can also enjoy wildlife-themed colouring activities, making it a perfect spot for a family break.

Wildlife Trail
Embark on a self-guided Wildlife Trail through the Garden Centre. Pick up a trail sheet and learn fun facts about native wildlife, discovering how small changes in your garden can make a significant difference to local ecosystems.
