Rose Goals at RHS Chelsea with Rosa Sir David Beckham

Rose Goals at RHS Chelsea with Rosa Sir David Beckham

Each year, David Austin Roses unveils a brand-new rose at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and this year’s bloom is dedicated to Sir David Beckham. Officially launching today, this is a rose with family at its heart, to return faithfully season after season.

We’re delighted to once again be attending the RHS Chelsea press day, so look out on our socials for the rose's debut in the Grand Pavilion. With the Beckham effect in full force, it’s certain to be one of the show’s star attractions this week!

And if you don’t have tickets for Chelsea, we have good news. You won’t have to wait too long to see it for yourself, as we’ll have a limited number of Rosa Sir David Beckham available in-store only from 9am on Friday 22nd May 2026.

The best assists for roses

Companion planting makes the star player shine, and these ideal teammates promise to create a striking display with any rose.

  • Alliums - Plant alliums near rose bushes and the striking globe-shaped flowers will add dramatic colour while detering pests.
  • Lavender - Highly fragrant options that naturally deter pests like aphids while attracting beneficial pollinators.
  • Salvias - When warmed by the sun, salvias attract beneficial insects and can even combat blackspot.
  • Nepeta - With flowers to complement almost any rose colour, aromatic Nepeta masks bare stems and repels pests.
