Sowing Period: April to May
Harvesting/Flowering Period: August to September
Growing Information
Sow 2.5cm (1") deep singly in 7.5cm (3") pots of seed compost at 13-16°C (55-60°F). Germination 10-12 days. Grow on in good light and gradually harden off before planting outside in a sunny, sheltered position in May or early June. Grow in blocks rather than rows setting plants 38cm (15") apart each way. Alternatively sow mid to early June outdoors in blocks, setting 2-3 seeds in groups spaced 38cm (15") apart each way. Cover with jam jars/cloches until the young plants develop. Do not grow near other sweet corn. Sowing ➞ Cropping: 14-16 weeks.
