Fused Glass Meadow Curve Workshop
Join Roxy Denny from RD Glass and spend 3 hours learning how to make your own Fused Glass Flower Meadow, which you can create as a freestanding curve or as hanging wall art. Learn a new skill and have fun being creative with hands on instruction and the freedom to create your own design.
In this workshop you will learn how to score and break sheet glass, work with glass rods and decorate your work with crushed glass frit and wafers.
Roxy will demonstrate her own work as shown in the photos and then support you as you choose colours and designs to make your own unique piece of glass art! You have the choice of making a freestanding curved piece of glass or a wall hung piece of glass art.
Your work will then be carefully transported to Roxy’s studio where it will go through 2 firings in a glass kiln and finally be returned to Beetham Nurseries for you to collect (takes 2/3 weeks). Alternatively postage is available at a cost of £5, payable to Roxy on the day. All materials are included in the course fee.
Glass is sharp by nature and small cuts are a possibility. Safety glasses are provided but please ensure that you are wearing closed shoes for this workshop. Age 16+ unless otherwise agreed.
The details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our marquee. It is heated on cooler days, but please wear suitable clothing.
Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you may wish to bring a cushion for added comfort.

When buying online, your tickets will be emailed to you. You don't need to print the ticket as we will have your booking when we check you in. On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a 10% discount voucher valid for the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some shopping time before or after your workshop!
Please note the voucher cannot be used against Garden Furniture, in The Garden Cafe, or The Food Hall.
