Watercolour Workshop: Easy & Quirky Animal Portraits
Fancy painting your favourite furry, feathered or four-legged friend? Or just a favourite animal? Join local artist and experienced teacher Bob Sutcliffe for a fun and relaxed watercolour workshop exploring easy, quirky animal portraits!
From cheeky cats and characterful dogs, to garden birds and other animal favourites, we’ll explore how to capture personality, expression and a little bit of mischief with watercolour. No need to worry about getting every detail perfect — it’s all about having fun and letting your creativity shine!
Beginners and more experienced painters are equally welcome, and all equipment is provided.
Bob’s friendly, encouraging approach means there’s no need for everyone to paint the same thing. He’ll help you find your own style, work at your own pace and create something uniquely yours.
Feel free to bring a reference photo if you have a specific animal you'd like to paint.
You’ll leave with:
- Top tips and simple techniques for painting animal portraits
- Samples of your work to keep for inspiration
- Your own completed, characterful watercolour painting
Come along for a creative session full of colour, character and a little artistic fun. You might be surprised by what you can create!
Beginners welcome. All materials are provided.
