Fused Glass Tree Decorations Workshop
Join Roxy Denny from RD Glass and create up to five hanging Christmas decorations of your choice. Learn a new skill and have fun being creative with hands-on instruction and freedom to create your own designs.
In this popular workshop, you will learn how to score and break sheet glass, work with glass rods and crushed glass frit. The finished pieces will have a hole drilled so they are ready to hang.
We will look at example pieces and consider your own inspiration and designs. Roxy will demonstrate the techniques required to make your designs and then support you as you create your decorations. Please feel free to bring inspiration for your decorations.
Your work will then be carefully transported to Roxy’s studio to be fired in a glass kiln and then returned to Beetham Nurseries for you to collect (approx 2 to 3 weeks). Alternatively, postage is available at a cost of £5, payable to Roxy on the day. All materials are included in the course fee.
Glass is sharp by nature and small cuts are a possibility. Safety glasses are provided but please ensure that you are wearing closed shoes for this workshop. Age 16+ unless otherwise agreed.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our marquee. It is heated on cooler days, but please wear suitable clothing.
Your ticket price includes mulled wine, tea, coffee, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you may wish to bring a cushion for added comfort.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a 10% discount voucher valid for the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some Christmas shopping time before or after your workshop!
Please note the voucher cannot be used against Garden Furniture, in The Garden Cafe, or The Food Hall.
