Christmas Candle Making Workshop
Get into the holiday spirit with this warm and welcoming festive workshop, hosted by Gail from Fellside Candle Co. This hands-on session is the perfect introduction to the art of candle making.
You'll start by learning the fundamentals of candle crafting, including:
- The basics of wax types and how they differ
- Melting temperatures for optimal results
- Understanding fragrance load and how to properly balance scent
- An introduction to fragrance families and essential vs. fragrance oils
- Choosing the right wick for your container and wax type
Under Gail’s expert guidance, you’ll pour your very own festive candle, choosing from a specially curated selection of seasonal scents — each designed to capture the essence of the season.
While your candle sets, the creativity continues as you make a bag of custom wax melts using the same beautiful scents. These melts are perfect for gifting or keeping your home feeling cosy and fragrant throughout the winter months.
All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a beautifully crafted candle and wax melts — plus the skills and confidence to continue your candle-making journey at home.
Spaces are limited, so come along and treat yourself to a morning of creativity, festive aromas, and good company.
The details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our marquee. It is heated on cooler days, but please wear suitable clothing.
Your ticket price includes mulled wine, tea, coffee, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you may wish to bring a cushion for added comfort.
Please advise of dietary requirements when booking.

When buying online, your tickets will be emailed to you. You don't need to print the ticket as we will have your booking when we check you in. On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a 10% discount voucher valid for the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some Christmas shopping time before or after your workshop!
Please note the voucher cannot be used against Garden Furniture, in The Garden Cafe, or The Food Hall.

Tickets are non-refundable. Please read our cancellation policy carefully before booking your place. Dogs are not permitted at any workshops.
