Plant Masterclass: Winter Plants for Scent & Flowering
This workshop with workshop by Marguerite Hughes will explain and illustrate how to plan and design your garden for high impact and interst in winter with an emphasis on the best flowering and scented plants. There will be advice and recommendations on the star plant groups for this season including Daphnes, Viburnums, Hellebores, Hamamelis, Skimmia, Sarcocca, and early flowering bulbs. There will be lots of practical advice on creating winter borders utilising these star plants.
The last 30 minutes of the session will allow for summary round up and Q & A.
All you need to bring with you on the day is a notebook and pen. You will be given handouts relevant to the workshop to take home. There will be lots of opportunities during the day to handle materials referred to during the session. The workshop is very interactive and at any point during the day you can ask questions relating to your own gardens.
The details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our marquee. It is heated on cooler days, but please wear suitable clothing.
Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you may wish to bring a cushion for added comfort.
