Floral Themed Lino Printing Workshop - Saturday 11th May 2024
Come along for a creative, relaxing day of printmaking here at Beetham Nurseries.
Surrounded by the beautiful nursery plants, we will definitely be inspired for our floral themed artwork! We will use the shapes of flowers and foliage as a starting point for our lino print. You will learn how to cut a design from the lino plate using different tools to create marks and textures. Rolling ink onto the plate you will then take a print and create your own small edition of fabulous original designs to take away with you.
Materials will be provided but if you would like to bring along some floral design ideas, drawings or photographs that you would like to use as a starting point, please do. Design ideas will also be available. We will be working to a little smaller than A4.
Printing can get messy, so please bring an apron or old shirt and some vinyl or rubber gloves.
Kindly note that there is a lot of cutting involved with creating the lino prints so this course may not be suitable for those who have difficulties with hands and wrists.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, a freshly prepared lunch and a home-baked sweet treat. Seating in the Marquee is metal chairs or benches, so you may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.
Equipment needed: Printing can get messy, so please bring an apron or old shirt and some vinyl or rubber gloves. You may wish to bring a cushion to sit on, as The Marquee has bench seating.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a ticket which acts as a 10% voucher whilst you’re here with us on the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some shopping time before or after your workshop!
Please note the voucher cannot be used against Garden Furniture, in The Garden Cafe, or The Food Hall.
