Creative Containers - Gardening With Containers For Long Term Interest

Learn how to plant up containers for year round interest with a range of hardy plants including shrubs, perennials, grasses & bulbs. The workshop will include practical advice on the best plants for containers in different locations such as shade or sun; designing containers for scent & wildlife. You will also learn about which type of containers work best, soil to use & aftercare tips.

Marguerite will also demonstrate how to create a range of planted containers & supply recipes so you can have a go at home. This planted container will then be raffled off at the end of the workshop!

The last 30 minutes of the workshop will allow for summary, round up & Q&A.

The Details

This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, a freshly-prepared lunch, and a home-baked sweet treat. Seating in the Marquee is metal chairs or benches, so you may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a ticket which acts as a 10% voucher whilst you’re here with us on the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some shopping time before or after your workshop!

Please note the voucher cannot be used against Garden Furniture, in The Garden Cafe, or The Food Hall.
