Plant Masterclass - Ferns
An informative & practical workshop were you will discover everything you need to know about Ferns; including the different types of evergreen and deciduous ferns, plus recommended species, varieties for different areas in your garden, and Ferns that will grow in problem spots, such as dry shade. The workshop will also highlight the best ferns with features such as structure, texture, foliage features & those able to cope with difficult climatic conditions. You will discover how to select & plant ferns & choose the right spot for them in your garden. There will be guidance on their aftercare, including propagation & top planting combinations with other plants.
The last 30 minutes of the session will allow for summary, round up & Q&A.
All you need to bring with you on the day is a notebook & pen. You will be given handouts relevant to the workshop to take home. There will be lots of opportunities during the day to handle materials referred to during the sessions. The workshop is very interactive and, at any point during the day, you can ask questions relating to your own gardens.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, and a sweet treat. If you book both workshops on this day, you will also receive a freshly-prepared lunch. Seating in the Marquee is on wooden chairs, so you may wish to bring a cushion.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a ticket which acts as a 10% voucher whilst you’re here with us on the day of your workshop. So don’t forget to make the most of some shopping time before or after your workshop!
