Summer Festival 2024
Summer is just around the corner, and we are ecstatic to announce that Beetham Nurseries' Summer Festival is back for 2024! Taking place between Friday 26th and Sunday 28th July 2024, this FREE event will be a big celebration of Beetham Nurseries' 40th anniversary.
Expect live music, shopping, delicious food & drink and — as always — plenty of family fun!
Our Special Guest: Phil Vickery
On Friday 26th July, we are delighted to be joined by ITV This Morning's celebrity chef, Phil Vickery. Phil will present a demonstration titled "From My Garden." In this segment, Phil will share a recipe featuring vegetables from his own garden and discuss his life and career as one of the nation's most popular chefs.
The demo will start at 11am on The Terrace, and is free to attend.
Beetham's Big Birthday Giveaway
We're celebrating our 40th birthday with you, our loyal customers! We've got some fantastic 40th birthday presents from the amazing companies we work with, and throughout the weekend, we'll be gifting them to you! We will hide 40 presents in-store, ready to be found. We've pulled out all the stops with fantastic gifts, ranging from a YETI cooler, a Gozney Roccbox pizza oven, and a water feature, to Beetham favourites like cake from The Garden Cafe! Join the hunt and see what surprises you can find.

Shop Small @ Beetham Nurseries
In celebration of our support for small, local businesses, we are thrilled to be working with Shop Small who will be hosting a Shop Small @ Beetham Nurseries market across the weekend.
Please note, the Shop Small market will run 10am - 4pm each day.
Farmer's Market
At the entrance to the Growing Nursery, we'll be joined by local artisan producers. You'll be sure to find the very best of artisan breads, wine, gelato, and speciality gin...
Lovingly Artisan (Sat & Sun), Provino Wines (Sat & Sun), The Milking Parlour (Fri & Sun), Grasmere Gingerbread (Fri), Baked by Beetham (all weekend), Cross Apiary (all weekend), Wild Fox Distillery (all weekend), Flowers by Maxene (all weekend).
Northern Heights Dance & Aerial
We'll be reaching dizzying heights up in The Growing Nursery. Northern Heights Dance & Aerial will be putting on a spellbinding aerial performance display on Friday and Saturday in between 12 noon and 2pm. There will also be FREE workshops afterwards, where children can have a go on aerial hoop & silks. It's not to be missed!
Family Fun
Younger visitors will delight in joining the hunt for the fairies, who will be hiding amongst the flowers in The Garden Centre and The Growing Nursery! Collect a card at the Information Desk to join in over the weekend. Our colouring competition will also be running in The Garden Cafe and The Wood Fired Kitchen.
Save a Daisy
Save a daisy is an exciting new experience for children to explore their creativity in restoring a cast of a daisy from an 18th Century gilded English mirror frame. By painting with any colour they choose, including gold, they have the opportunity to help in conserving a small part of our English heritage. The daisy is decorated with a ribbon of their choosing and makes an excellent memento or gift.
You'll find the Save a Daisy activity in The Growing Nursery from 11am on Sunday 28th July.
Live Music
Of course, it isn't a Beetham Nurseries event without some live music down on The Terrace! Come along and tap your feet to some of the best local musicians. See Ellie Harley (Friday 12 noon - 2pm), James Candlin (Saturday 12 noon - 2pm), Harps North West (Sunday 11am - 12:30pm) and Lost in Americana (Sunday 1pm - 3pm)
Street Food
As well as our premium food offerings in The Garden Cafe and The Wood Fired Kitchen, our vintage food and drink vans will be open on the terrace. We'll be serving delicious street food, as well as hot and cold drinks you can enjoy al fresco.
Beetham Charity Bingo
Get your dabbers at the ready, as we will be running a fun bingo session to raise money for our fantastic charity partner Carer's Support South Lakes. We'll have premium prizes up for grabs, from Beetham Nurseries and our fantastic traders and suppliers.
You'll find Beetham Charity Bingo in the marquee on The Terrace at 2pm on Saturday 27th July.
Pet Portraits
Olive Paw Photography will be setting up a pop-up portrait studio for the weekend. Bring your four-legged friends and capture their best side with a portrait you can cherish forever.
Please note, there will be a fee for this service.
KingSharp Knife Sharpening
Find KingSharp at the entrance door to Beetham Nurseries in the car park. Operating from his fully-fitted van, KingSharp can sharpen almost anything with a blade!
He'll be with us 10am till 4pm, Friday till Sunday!
