Creative Containers - A Garden in a Pot for Autumn, Winter & Beyond
Learn how to plant up containers for Autumn & Winter Interest with a range of hardy plants, including Shrubs, Perennials, Grasses & Bulbs. The workshop will include practical advice on the best plants for containers in different locations, such as shade or sun, and designing containers for scent & wildlife. There will also be suggestions & recipes for containers in problem spots. You will learn about choosing containers, soil to use & aftercare tips. Marguerite will demonstrate how to create a range of planted containers & supply recipes so you can have a go at home. Christmas isn't that far off, so you can take away ideas for the perfect gift!!
The last 30 minutes of the session will allow for summary, round up & Q&A.
All you need to bring with you on the day is a notebook & pen. You will be given handouts relevant to the workshop to take home. There will be lots of opportunities during the day to handle materials referred to during the sessions. The workshop is very interactive and, at any point during the day, you can ask questions relating to your own gardens.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, a freshly-prepared lunch, and a sweet treat.
Seating in the Marquee consists of wooden chairs, so you might want to bring a cushion for added comfort.

On arrival at the workshop, you will be given a ticket which acts as a 10% voucher whilst you’re here with us on the day of your workshop.
